In this episode, we talk all about Identities. In this context, an identity is any belief that you hold about yourself. They can be negative or positive, and we all have LOTS of them that we have accumulated over the years.
Identities are the key to our actions due to the Identity/Action cycle, depicted here. In essence, who we think we are dictates what we choose to do; what we do reinforces who we think we are. So, if you want to adopt new habits to reach a goal this year, you must first examine your identities. Which ones are helping you and which ones are holding you back?
I also chat through why adopting an identity is more powerful for when you inevitably “fall off the wagon” of your new habits.
