I wrote this book because at one point in my life, I felt like I was sitting in a car, with a tank full of gas, but I just stayed in the driveway because I didn’t know which way to go. 

I had all the ambition and the potential, and I could see that there were all these options out there, but I just didn’t know where or how to start on the path to a life that felt vibrant and aligned to me.

In the past, I had followed the map I had been given — the one that told me what was expected of me and what was acceptable — and I ended up in a life that was pretty miserable. 

This book is really for the person who finds themselves at that point, too: for whatever reason, your life doesn’t feel aligned to who you are or who you want to be, but you aren’t quite sure how to get started. 

Let me first say that I don’t have your answers: I don’t have another map or set of directions to tell you to follow. The goal of the book is to give you the awareness, the language, the tools, and the opportunity to practice getting to your own answers. 

It’s about learning how to trust your compass, not the map, when it comes to making foundational choices for your life. And it’s about believing that you’re worthy of a beautiful life that feels good to you.
